We believe in the power of debate. We believe in the oracy and advocacy skills it develops, in the sharpness of thought it encourages, and in the doors that it opens. We want these opportunities to be open to as many young people as possible.
Debate England is a registered charity that promotes the learning and growth of young people from all backgrounds through competitive debating. We manage and support England’s participation in schools-level international debating competitions.
Debate England selects, trains, and manages the England Schools Debating Team, and sends them to the World Schools Debating Championships where they represent England on the world stage.
