Debate England is opening applications for the coach of the England schools debating teams.

The Team Coach for Debate England is responsible for selecting and preparing England’s schools-level national debating teams, and supporting them at international competitions (including WSDC and EuroSDC). The coach is supported by a Team Manager for Debate England, who will assist with pastoral and logistical support for the team, and will act as the second accompanying adult to competitions.

Start date: August 2026, with a minimum commitment through to after WSDC 2027

Location: UK, with occasional in-person requirement in London, plus travelling with the team to EuroSDC and WSDC.

Debate England is open to applications from individuals or pairs as a co-coaching arrangement.

Whilst this is a volunteer position, the coach will benefit from funded travel to EuroSDC and WSDC.
