Applications for Team England 2026-27 are now open!

Team England is the flagship programme for Schools Debating in England. The team will represent England at the 2027 European Schools Debating Championships (in Italy), and the 2027 World Schools Debating Championships (in Bulgaria).

Applications are open to any student in years 9-13, attending a registered school in England. We are interested in both demonstrated ability (i.e. track record of competitive success) and potential, especially in promising younger pupils.

Interested students should carefully read the info pack before submitting an application via the application form.

Applications close at 6.00pm UK time on Monday 21st September. Ensure you leave adequate time to complete the application, which includes submission of a pre-work task. Do not leave it too late.
